On Thursday, May 11, at 19:XNUMX pm, our most important contemporary writer, Maurizio De Giovanni, will be in the heart of the Spanish Quarter, in the places of his stories, to meet the people who live there.
The event, organized by Agoghè, of Philosophy outside the Walls, aims to bring culture beyond the confines of scholars, literature among ordinary people, the kind that inspires narratives.
Maurizio De Giovanni, who embraced the project from the first moment, participating in the press conference that was held on the street, outdoors, and was a testimonial of the crowdfunding campaign, immediately welcomed the idea of the philosopher Giuseppe Ferraro to go down to the street, in the pulsating heart of the city, to tell his story and listen.
Readings of passages, voices, stories are planned, in a choral dialogue that aims to involve the inhabitants of the neighborhoods, so that the city becomes a school of bonds and relationships.
The aim of the project is, in fact, to build permanent social networks, to foster alliances of places of knowledge, to facilitate collective participation and community development. The meeting in the street with De Giovanni was born from the desire to bring books to the places of their narration. Trying to keep together the written and unwritten world, places and pages that reflect them, so that they do not remain separated.
The challenge is to create a reading group for the Premio Napoli per le strade, in the heart of the city. Reading together and talking about books in unusual spaces is the idea behind Filosofia Fuori le Mura
