A wonderful surprise for Napoli in these days of waiting that separate them from mathematically conquering their third Scudetto : Dries Mertens has returned to the city, on a visit.

The Belgian really couldn't miss this historic event and so he took advantage of the current break from training with his Galatasaray to go to Palazzo Donn'Anna , his residence in Posillipo , to spend an evening with his lifelong friends.

For Mertens , who was immortalised in some photos circulating on social media wearing a white Maradona number 10 shirt with Cirio sponsorship, it was an evening of fun, toasts with friends and lots of music, including “O' surdato 'nnammurato”, a great classic from his years at Napoli.
Dries , who landed yesterday at Capodichino airport , is obviously in the company of his wife Kat and his little son Ciro and is unlikely to want to miss the celebrations for the Scudetto , which will most likely start between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
