A task force for the control of vehicles with foreign license plates has been set up by the Municipal Police of NAPLES, San Lorenzo operational unit. The officers are engaged in targeted interventions to identify individuals who use vehicles that have numerous unpaid fines for violations of the Highway Code.

These checks allowed, in the month of May alone, the identification of 7 people caught driving as many vehicles who, on numerous occasions, evaded the bans. The vehicles' circulation documents were withdrawn and the names of the offenders were forwarded to the relevant offices to arrange for the recovery of the unpaid sums.
