Around 2000 people were checked, 2 of whom were arrested, 5 fines were issued and 725 bags were checked: these are the results of the operation “STAZIONI SICURE” which took place yesterday, 24 May, with extraordinary checks on travellers and bags in the main stations in Campania, on board regional and long-distance trains.
The operation, which involved 70 operators of the Railway Police of the Polfer Department for Campania, was ordered by the Railway Police Service, on a national scale, with the aim of countering illegal activities and preventing any form of illegality.
During these services, at the Station of Napoli Central, the operators proceeded to check KS, a 29-year-old Moroccan, and SA, a 45-year-old Libyan, who, from the check in the SDI database, were found to be wanted since they were the recipients of orders for the execution of precautionary custody in prison.
In particular, KS was the recipient of a prison order, issued by the GIP of the Court of Rovigo on 13.03.2023, for the crimes of aggravated robbery in competition and personal injury.
The second, SA, was the recipient of a prison order, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples on 12.05.2022, for the crimes of aggravated robbery and personal injury as well as a trace for a repatriation order with an injunction not to return to the Municipality of Naples for three years.
