The emergency services intervened on sitehelicopter rescue 118 of Salerno with a doctor, nurse and technician from the Campania-Cnsas Alpine and Speleological Rescue on board, who lowered themselves onto the hiker and proceeded to stabilize him.
The recovery operations, made complex by the position and condition of the injured person, took place in cooperation with the ground teams of the Cnsas Alpine Rescue and the Guardia di Finanza Alpine Rescue (Sagf), with the collaboration of the Carabinieri, and concluded with the recovery on board the helicopter.
The tourist was then transported to the hospital of the Sea of Napoli where he is hospitalized in serious conditions.
