Severe weather is causing disruption in some areas of the province of Salerno, especially in the south. A yellow weather alert is in effect in Campania until 8:00 PM today. In Castellabate, the Malevarco ravine in Santa Maria has overflowed, and the Municipality, including on social media, this morning asked owners of cars parked on the De Simone and Pepi seafronts to remove them as soon as possible.
In Pisciotta, the mayor has invited the population not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary, and, among other things, not to stop near rivers, embankments, streams, slopes, bridges. From what we learn from the firefighters of Salerno, they are carrying out various interventions.
Furthermore, as stated in a notice published on the website of the Municipality of Pisciotta, "the former SS 447 called Rizzico was affected by a landslide, on the valley side, which compromised normal vehicular traffic" and, therefore, the Municipal Administration announces that "the stretch of road in question is closed to traffic for any type of vehicle".
