Friday 5 May at 19 pm at the ilCartastorie museum, the new appointment with the review “Sembravano C'Arte”, which returns with a reading and music show inspired by the writings of the Historical Archive of the Bank of Naples.
Fiorenzo Madonna accompanied by Ars Nova Napoli brings to the stage the show Apparenze celesti, from a text by Andrea Zappulli regarding the figure of Matteo di Capua, prince of Conca, protagonist of the political and artistic scene in Naples between the 500th and 600th centuries, and his relationship with Nicola Antonio Stigliola, teacher of the young prince, among the first in Italy to profess heliocentrism.
The prince's reasonings about God, life and the motion of the stars in the setting of the Archive's paper heritage at the center of this meeting of the review promoted by the Banco di Napoli Foundation and the Superintendence of Archives and Bibliography of Campania. At the end of the show, a concert by Ars Nova Napoli, open to the many sounds of the south and beyond, from Apulian pizzica to Sicilian serenades, from Neapolitan classics to Calabrian tarantellas, and looking beyond its own borders discovers connections with Greek rebetiko and Balkan music.
Admission is free until all seats are taken, with mandatory reservations on the ilCartastorie website. Participants can visit the Kaleidos multimedia trail by ilCartastorie at a reduced rate within the following week (Friday 12 May included) by presenting the entry ticket to Sembrano C'arte at the ticket office.
