The forestry carabinieri of Roccarainola, during the patrol and control of the territory arranged by the forestry carabinieri group of Naples, noticed an intense column of black smoke coming from a rural area on the outskirts of the municipality of Palma Campania.
The military identified the land and found a waste combustion in progress. It was ascertained that two people were disposing of special waste such as plastic products, setting them on fire and triggering a waste combustion. The waste combustion occurred on an agricultural land, therefore potentially compromising the soil.
The two people were reported to the judicial authorities for the crimes of illegal burning of waste and illegal disposal and the area where the burning took place was placed under seizure.
