He killed his daughter, his wife's alleged lover, and seriously injured the woman. He then filmed a video showing the massacre, sending it to fellow Albanian friends. The suspect reportedly sent the footage to a fellow Albanian resident in Northern Italy, who immediately alerted the local Carabinieri and—the Carabinieri say—very likely also sent the footage to other individuals currently being identified, who in turn disseminated the footage online.
"We appeal to the public's sense of responsibility, urging them, given the family tragedy described above, not to further disseminate gruesome and inappropriate videos and/or images, especially out of respect for the family members already affected by this sad event," is the Carabinieri's appeal. The alleged perpetrator of the double homicide in Torremaggiore, in the Foggia province, is Taulant Malajun, an Albanian citizen who has resided in Italy for years.

The man, a 45-year-old of Albanian origins, then also killed his daughter, 16-year-old Gessica, who prevented her father from also killing her mother, against whom he had attacked shortly before.
His wife was also injured but managed to escape and alert the police and is now hospitalized in a reserved prognosis but not in danger of life. The Carabinieri of the San Severo Nucleus managed to intercept and immobilize the man, still covered in blood, near the entrance hall of the condominium, and arrested him for double homicide and attempted homicide.
He was also looking for his other son, a five-year-old boy, to kill him too. The man's daughter was taken to the hospital but died shortly after. The military reconstructed the dynamics of the attacks thanks to the witnesses present and also found the weapon.

To make this page of blind violence even more horrible, a video shot with a cell phone has emerged in the moments immediately after the killer filmed the lifeless body of the man and then filmed his dying daughter and his wife in a semi-conscious state. “See, I killed them all,” one hears. “See this one, he’s the Italian, I killed all three of them, even my daughter, see this.”
Taulant Malaj, the Carabinieri communicate in a note, has been arrested on charges of attempted murder and double murder. The 45-year-old was nailed by the information gathered by the military and by a video that he himself had recorded to tell the horror.
