It would be a case of Forgotten Baby Syndrome that led to the death of the little girl of about one year old, found lifeless in a car on Via dei Fucilieri in Rome.
The car was parked near the General Directorate for Military Personnel of the Ministry of Defense, in the Cecchignola area, where the child's father, who is a Carabiniere, works. The little girl attended the nursery school inside the inter-force structure where her father was supposed to take her before going to work.
the mother went to pick up the little girl, they told her that the child was not present in class. At that point the woman would have made the tragic discovery in the parking lot where her husband's car was parked. The woman's screams attracted the attention of a passerby who broke a window, but there was nothing more that could be done for the little girl.
The 118 personnel who arrived on the scene could do nothing but confirm the death of the little girl. The carabinieri who are operating in the area, which has been placed under sequestration, are leaning towards a fatal distraction on the part of the adult who was with the little girl who this morning never entered the nursery where she was expected.
The alarm was raised only at about 14:XNUMX p.m., when some passers-by called for help. The investigations into the case are being conducted by the Carabinieri, coordinated by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office.
