Also today from 14 pm to 21 pm today yellow weather alert for all of Campania for possible sudden and sudden storms also with hail, lightning and gusts of wind. This was announced by the Functional Center of the Region, based on the analysis of mathematical models, which has thus assessed a possible hydrogeological criticality.
As already highlighted in recent days, the presence of atmospheric instability also deriving from climate change makes sudden precipitations possible, with rapid evolution but of particular consistency also with the presence of hail, lightning, gusts of wind.
Therefore, a possible hydrogeological risk is still highlighted due to storms with flooding, rising water levels of watercourses, water flow on roads, runoff with transport of material, falling rocks or landslides in fragile territories.
Due to the characteristics of this disturbance, attention must also be paid to the risk of damage to roofs from hailstorms and the risk of damage to temporary structures as well as falling branches or trees from gusts of wind. Maximum attention is recommended, even in the absence of precipitation, for a residual risk in the areas affected by precipitation in recent days.
Municipalities are reminded of the necessary activation of the COC (Municipal Operations Centers) and of the measures aimed at preventing, contrasting and mitigating the expected phenomena, also in line with the respective municipal civil protection plans.
