“We are not afraid of books, but we are concerned about the continuous revisionism put in place by far-right movements, including through book presentations that aim to rewrite the partisan history of our country.” So in a note Cgil Naples e Campania e CGIL Salerno they stigmatized the exposure of one banner posted during the night by activists of Casapound in front of the headquarters Chamber of Labor di Salerno.

Last Wednesday, in fact, in Salerno the presentation of the book 'Counter-history of the Resistance' was supposed to take place Thomas Indelli, cancelled by the bookshop after the appeal launched by the Cgil and other associations. Hence the 'response' of Casapound with the banner displayed during the night and following which this morning an anti-fascist demonstration was held in front of the Salerno headquarters of the union.
“We do not allow ourselves to be intimidated by episodes of this kind”, explains the CGIL. “It is not the first time that far-right political groups have carried out actions of this kind with the aim, always unsuccessful, of silencing democratic organizations such as trade unions that fight for the values of anti-fascism”.
Full solidarity was expressed by the PD deputy, Piero De Luca, for whom it was a matter of “an unacceptable gesture that will not stop the fundamental work of the union and will not make the civil commitment of those who every day support and democratically defend the anti-fascist values of the Constitution that are the foundation of our country” retreat by one millimeter.
