“It is an honor and a great emotion for me, also as mayor of one of the municipalities of the Park, to hold this prestigious and strategic position for the territory”. He declares it Raffaele DeLuca, appointed president of theNational Park Authority of Vesuvio, installed yesterday. De Luca, mayor of the Municipality of trecase, has already held the role of extraordinary commissioner of the Vesuvius Park since January 2023. With a decree of 26 June, the Minister of the Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin appointed him president of the Park Authority.
“It is a position of great responsibility. – says De Luca – which I am about to carry out with the utmost enthusiasm and commitment, together with the institutions, associations and all stakeholders, to achieve the objectives of protecting and enhancing the environment, promoting agriculture and consolidating sustainable tourism. I will pay great attention to the relationship with all the mayors of the Park Community and I will establish an ongoing dialogue with them”.
"The Vesuvius National Park must become a point of reference and a driving force for development for the entire metropolitan area. The collaboration and professionalism of all the Park Authority staff will be fundamental. I am sure - he concludes - that, with the involvement and support of all, we will achieve these goals.
