The State Police and the Carabinieri have placed under arrest a seventeen-year-old Neapolitan seriously suspected of attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated personal injury through the use of a firearm, and illegal possession and carrying of the same in conjunction with another individual.
On the morning of June 4, the young man allegedly attempted to rob a State Police Trainee Agent in the historic center – Anticaglia street – by threatening him with a gun together with an accomplice riding a scooter.
When the victim identified himself as a police officer, the minor, a passenger in the vehicle, allegedly fired a gunshot at him, hitting him in the left foot.
The investigations started immediately after the events by the Flying Squad and the Company Napoli Stella, on the basis of the information provided by the injured party in the complaint, corroborated by the analysis of the public video surveillance systems located in the area, made it possible to identify the vehicle used for the crime and the probable perpetrator of the wounding of the student police officer.
Following a search of the minor's home, the motorcycle, the clothes used during the criminal conduct and a .22 cal. bullet, perfectly compatible with the cartridge case found at the scene of the crime, were found and seized.
At the end of the relevant activities, the seventeen-year-old was associated with the First Reception Center of Naples – Colli Aminei. Furthermore, the probable driver of the motorcycle used in the attempted robbery – a fifteen-year-old Neapolitan – was also identified and was reported to the Judicial Authority in a state of freedom.

It is really worrying that such young boys commit such serious crimes. We hope they can be helped to redeem themselves.
