She had reported him 4 days earlier but he had not given up. In Sant'Antonio Abate the Carabinieri of the local station arrested a 38-year-old local man for mistreatment in the family and damage.
It is lunchtime when the military – alerted by 112 following a request for help from the victim – intervene near a house.
On May 30, the woman reported to the police several episodes of mistreatment by her husband that had been going on for about a year and a jealousy that was becoming increasingly dangerous.
The complaint had also triggered the “red code” but this had not intimidated the 38-year-old with the victim who had returned to her mother's house.
The man – in a very agitated state – wanted an explanation and demanded to enter the house. The 38-year-old became increasingly violent and threatened to kill his ex.
The Carabinieri arrived in time and stopped the man who had just damaged the entrance door of the house.
The victim did not give in and did not open the door, immediately calling the Carabinieri.
The arrested man is in Poggioreale prison awaiting trial.
