Igli Tare let her Lazio after 18 years spent between the pitch and the desk: the now ex biancoceleste ds announced it with a press release. “I have been thinking about this decision for a long time, but I waited for the good of Lazio to reach the Champions League goal, aware of having built a strong team, with extraordinary players predisposed to achieve this objective”, explains the Albanian manager.
La “beautiful experience” it was made in white and blue “of joys, defeats and trophies”. Tare thanks the president lotito “for the opportunity it gave me, the Biancocelesti fans who have entered my heart, the club with all its members, the players, the staff and all those who have been close to me on this journey”. A special 'thank you' also goes to his family, who has always been by his side. Having arrived at the Lazio in 2005 as a footballer, Igli then became sporting director in 2009, after retiring the year before.
“It was a prestigious opportunity both as a player and as a manager and I will never forget it, taking with me every single moment of this journey”, concludes Tare. The hope towards the fans, we read at the end of the press release, is “may each of you continue, with the same passion that I had, to jealously guard this beautiful reality. Always Forza Lazio”.
