An earthquake of magnitude 2.5 was recorded on Vesuvius this morning at 5.54. The shock was localized by the Vesuvius Observatory, the Neapolitan headquarters of the INGV, at a depth of 3 km along the cone of the volcano, in the territory of the municipality of Greek's tower .
The shock was felt by the population in the Vesuvian municipalities and in the eastern area of Napoli. No damage to people or things has been reported. Firefighters and civil defense are currently checking the situation.
