A 34-year-old man, Giuseppe Tucci , originally from Foggia , a firefighter in Rimini since 2019, at the airport detachment, was seriously injured and declared brain dead.
These are the tragic consequences of a fight with a bouncer that occurred last night in the street near a well-known nightclub in Miramare . According to initial investigations, coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Davide Ercolani, who responded to the scene along with the Forensic Police and officers from the Flying Squad, the young man entered the nightclub already visibly upset and began harassing the women in the room with inappropriate comments.
These circumstances were reported by the owners of the venue but have yet to be verified given that on Instagram , the 34-year-old himself posted a story in which he appears with a friend and seems calm and smiling.
The excessive attention paid to the dancers would have warranted the intervention of security. Asked to leave, the firefighter was then involved in a fight around 2 a.m. in the street that runs alongside the club, right in front of Miramare Beach Club 148.
It is unclear at this time whether the firefighter hit his head on the ground as a result of a push or kick, or whether he was punched in the face with such force that it caused a fatal head injury.
It seems fairly certain, however, that once outside the nightclub, there were only two people facing each other: the bouncer and the firefighter. When the 118 paramedics arrived on the scene , alerted by the club staff, the young man was immediately resuscitated and transported to the Infermi Hospital in Rimini, where he was intubated.
Some witnesses said they saw blood leaking from the mouth while he was unconscious on the ground. According to the analysis of the wounds made by the medical staff, the 34-year-old did not have lacerated contusions on his head.
Deputy Prosecutor Ercolani then ordered the viewing of the images from the internal surveillance cameras to establish the exact dynamics of the incident and the investigators of the Flying Squad are currently reconstructing the evening by interviewing witnesses and the owners of the venue.
The security guard, the bouncer, is in fact a direct employee of the nightclub which will remain open regularly this evening. The Rimini Fire Department is sharing the Tucci family's grief at this time.
Many people began calling the Rimini Fire Brigade switchboard for information. The team leader and the commander accompanied Giuseppe's parents, who arrived from Foggia that afternoon, to the hospital to complete the necessary procedures.
