Tragedy late Sunday evening in Villa Literno, Caserta, where a man was hit and killed in via delle Dune. According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the accident occurred around 23:30 p.m.
The victim, a foreign laborer, was reportedly riding his bike when he was hit by a car. Thrown into the air and then falling onto the pavement, he died instantly. The driver apparently did not stop to provide assistance, but fled instead.
On site the Carabinieri and 118 paramedics could do nothing but confirm the death. The body was seized and an autopsy will be ordered. Investigations are now underway to track down the pirate.
