Installed by the Punta Marine Protected Area Campanella for the safety of swimmers and for compliance with the Park regulations. President Cacace: "They will soon be positioned in Puolo and Mitigliano"
Buoy barriers to prevent boats from entering the Crapolla fjord and some parts of the Li Galli islets. They were installed yesterday by the nautical staff of the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area. They will serve to prevent access to two B zones of the Park, also ensuring safety for swimmers.
Crapolla fjord is a natural inlet located on the side of the Amalfi coast. It can be reached from Torca, a hilltop hamlet of Massa Lubrense, via a splendid path rich in history and traditions. It is zone B of the Punta Campanella MPA where transit and anchoring are prohibited.
The same ban is in force at Galli, the famous archipelago of islets in front of Positano, too often taken by storm during the summer months. Here the buoys have been positioned under the Gallo Lungo tower, to protect the body of water from the entry of boats, and in front of a narrow passage to avoid the harmful and dangerous transit for the safety of navigation and bathers.
"The buoys at Crapolla and Galli had already been positioned in previous summers - underlines Lucio Cacace, President of Amp Punta Campanella - This year, also thanks to the collaboration and contribution of the municipal administration of Massa Lubrense, there will be two new features: they will soon be installed in Puolo and then in Mitigliano, in order to guarantee greater respect for the rules and safety for bathers".
