Almost 5000 people were present yesterday, July 1st, at the Palace of Portici, at the concert of the singer-songwriter Gigi Finizio who had the objective, largely achieved with the Sold Out, of a fundraiser to build a home for abandoned children in Gampilieri, in the province of Messina, in fact supporting theEmanuele Onlus, a Catholic charitable association active and well-known throughout the country.

The actress opened and introduced the concert Imma Pirone, great emotion that he transmitted in introducing to all the guests of the evening and the artist, underlining the greatness of the Neapolitan people who participated in this enormous act of solidarity. Present on stage at the beginning of the evening were the organizers, Pasquale Oliva and Gaetano Licata, vice president and councilor of L'Emanuele Onlus.

“Many people thought it was a very difficult challenge to fill over 4500 seats in the wonderful Reggia di Portici, but thanks to the help of the great Neapolitan artist Gigi Finizio, despite the organizational difficulties and the short time we made it – said Gaetano Licata – I hope that those who were pessimistic came to the concert to see with their own eyes what happened.

I truly thank the Municipal Administration of Portici which also played the role of mediator, with the metropolitan city, with the superintendency and the Department of Agriculture; in short, the 'North' of the South, Naples, which helps the 'South' of the South, Sicily, as has always been done in history reciprocally”.
