The carabinieri of the station of Capodimonte they found the 64 year old fugitive Joseph Riccio, born in Napoli, who was recognized one afternoon a few days ago in via Emilio Scaglione in the neighborhood Chiaiano in front of a bar. He was wearing a T-shirt, shorts and a baseball cap, supporting himself on a crutch.
In fact, the man had an execution order for imprisonment issued on 17 November 2022 by the criminal execution office of the prosecutor's office of the court of Napoli North. The 64-year-old must serve a cumulative prison sentence of 2 years, 7 months and 11 days but since November, despite already being subject to the "obligation to sign", he had been untraceable.
An off-duty Carabinieri officer noticed him and immediately alerted 112, which intervened within seconds and arrested the man. Uniformed Carabinieri also assisted, arresting the 64-year-old. He is now in prison facing charges of conspiracy and cigarette smuggling.
