A cook in a restaurant Sapri, in the lower Cilento, was admitted to hospital after suffering burns to her face.
According to an initial reconstruction, the woman was the victim of a backfire that came from the stove in the restaurant's kitchen. She was immediately rescued by 118 paramedics and transferred to the Burns Center at the Cardarelli hospital in Naples.
The woman is not in danger of life. The doctors, after having stabilized her, will try to operate on her in the next few days to fix the wounds on her face before another surgery.
