September 8, 21.00:XNUMX p.m. House of Cultures and Music, Piazza Trento e Trieste – Velletri (RM)

It is a recital that aims to be a story and a dialogue between artist and spectators that, in the setting of the cloister of the Convento del Carmine in Velletri – today the House of Cultures and Music -, on September 8th will see one of the most authoritative actors on the Italian scene, Michele Placido, as protagonist in an encounter between words and music that will see him accompanied by Gianluigi Esposito on voice and guitar and Antonio Saturno on guitar and mandolin.

On the occasion of “A lezioni da Placido…di cinema, teatro e poesia”, this is the title of the show on stage on September 8, Michele Placido will interpret poems and monologues by great figures such as Dante, Neruda, Montale, D'Annunzio and there will be no shortage of verses by the most important Neapolitan poets and writers such as Salvatore Di Giacomo, Raffaele Viviani, Eduardo De Filippo. Accompanying the maestro on this poetic musical journey will be Gianluigi Esposito and Antonio Saturno who will interpret the most beautiful classic Neapolitan songs of all time where the spectator will be taken by the hand and led through the most beautiful pages of poetry and theater.

After Michele Placido, the last appointment with Vivi Velletri 2023 will be on September 16 with Marco Baliani and his Kohlhaas, for a review that – since April – has brought together art history, theater, music and live entertainment at the seventeenth-century Convent of Carmine in Velletri, today the House of Cultures and Music and a historic residence of Lazio. An unprecedented formula to revive the former convent of Carmine and tell, in a meeting between disciplines, its history and the alternation of eras, with its prominent architectural elements – such as the original frescoes that describe scenes from the Bible and the stories of the Carmelites and Saint Elias – but also the cloister and the refectory -, the kitchen, the cells for the friars, the rooms for the Prior, the church and the former sacristy, with its valuable eighteenth-century stuccos.

Vivi Velletri is made with the contribution of the Lazio Region – public notice for the support and valorization of the heritage through live entertainment.
