The 13th edition of the festival starts on Friday in Cilento al Vila.

Lino Guanciale and Marco Bellocchio are the winners of the “Segreti d'Autore” 2023 award. The awards ceremony, on two separate evenings, will take place during the historic summer festival in Cilento, conceived by Ruggero Cappuccio and entrusted to the artistic direction of Nadia Baldi. The events of the thirteenth edition of “Segreti d'Autore”, a festival dedicated to the Environment, Science, Arts and Legality, will start on September 1st and will end on the 10th, but the “OMA Oneiric Multiple Artifex” residencies, curated by Enzo Mirone and Karla Kracht, and “The search for normality makes special”, a project by Rossella Pugliese, have already begun.

The inauguration, Friday 1st September, in the Coppola palace in Valle/Sessa Cilento (Sa), exclusive location of the entire program, is dedicated to cinema and the connection with the territory. At 21.30 pm you can see “La fuga”, the film by Renato Salvetti, set in Cilento and born from a workshop held by the actresses Franca Abategiovanni and Marina Sorrenti. The director of photography is Davide Aronica.

The following evening, Saturday 2 September at 21 pm, the Festival's guest will be Lino Guanciale, one of the most beloved actors by the Italian public, who will discuss "The Art of Forgetting" with artistic director Nadia Baldi. At the end of the meeting, the artist from Abruzzo, who plays, among others, the popular commissioner of Cilento origin Luigi Alfredo Ricciardi, will receive the Segreti d'Autore award.

There are two events scheduled for Sunday, September 3. At 20.30:12 pm there is “Tango a Palazzo”, the result of an artistic residency by Stefan Pan and Marcello Riunno, where the improvisation of 21.30 dancers from different nations blends with the Cilento nature in a mix of dance and cultures. An hour later, at XNUMX:XNUMX pm, Enzo Mirone and Karla Kracht will give life to their show “OMA Oneiric Multiple Artifex”, in which images, voices, sounds and objects from the past belong to the present and prefigure the future.

The game of time, through the modernization of a classic myth that reaches the rock opera, is also the common thread of “Family affairs”, an original text written by Flavia Pezzo and Fulvio Cauteruccio, who also directs the staging. A work, scheduled for September 4 at 21 pm, that gives voice back to Ismene, sister of Antigone and symbol of a female world forced to silence in many countries even today.

The refined acoustic concert “Lisbon-Palermo A/R” combines Portuguese music with that of the Neapolitan and Sicilian popular tradition, featuring on Tuesday 5th at 21 pm the Roman singer-songwriter with a Salerno heart Roberta Rossi and the pianist Sebastian Marino. A high-altitude artistic journey, capable of creating creative turbulence of great charm.

Wednesday 6th at “Segreti d'Autore” is the day dedicated to “Nando Paone tells his story”. A free-wheeling meeting with the Neapolitan actor, capable like few others of frequenting comic and dramatic registers with equal skill, conducted by the journalist Gabriella Diliberto. During the interview, scheduled for 21 pm, there will be interludes of performance and reading by Paone.

The theatre of a great protagonist of the scene like Annibale Ruccello, who died prematurely in 1986, and that of a good actress like Franca Abategiovanni will instead enliven the evening of September 7. At 20 pm the book by Carmen Lucia, published by BeaT, “The body, the sound and the scene. For a dramaturgy on bodies and sounds. Analysis of the stage language of the theatrical texts of Annibale Ruccello” will be presented.

Introduced by Enrico Bernard, who will talk with the author. Following, at 21.30:XNUMX pm, Franca Abategiovanni will be the protagonist of “Teresa Zum Zum” by Cesare Belsito. Where an onomatopoeic sound embodies the fears and the tender madness of a woman and her solitude.
“Cristo di periferia”, with Francesco Montanari, text and direction by Davide Sacco, is the suggestive proposal of Friday 8 September at 21 pm.

A tale of faith, set in a metaphorical circus, where a journalist is sent to write an article about a “poor Christ” who, in his trailer, transforms water into wine and multiplies loaves into fish. Live music by Raimondo Esposito.

The show will be preceded, at 18 pm, by “Stand up Cilento” on the theme “Restanza”. Domenico Nicoletti and Antonio Santoro will introduce and moderate. A simple and dynamic format will provide a microphone to the public. All you have to do is book upon arrival. The order of the interventions, which must last between 3 and 5 minutes maximum, will be random.

On September 9th at 20.30:10 pm, one of the most important Italian directors will arrive in Valle/Sessa Cilento (Sa). Marco Bellocchio, a master of cinema of international importance, will talk with the writer and playwright Ruggero Cappuccio on the topic “The perspective of memory”. At the end of the meeting, Bellocchio will receive the “Segreti d'Autore” award. The following day, from 13 am to 15 pm and from 18 pm to 25 pm, the famous filmmaker from Piacenza will hold a free masterclass reserved for no more than XNUMX participants.

Requests must be sent by September 6th, attaching the curriculum, to comunicazione@festivalsegretidautore.it.

On September 10, it closes with the last two events. At 20 pm, the book by Eugenio Ciacchi and Giuseppe Galzerano “Cesare Batacchi un innocente penale all'ergastolo” will be presented, which brings back from the mists of the past a forgotten and unknown story of Italian miscarriage of justice, while the outcome of the workshop, curated by Nadia Baldi, “Il suono dei sensi-Il senso dei suoni” will be staged afterwards.

Admission is completely free, but reservations are required. Requests should be sent by email to comunicazione@festivalsegretidautore.it, specifying the event, the number of seats and your name and surname.

Reservations, which will be accepted until all seats are taken, will be valid up to 30 minutes before the start of the show. The confirmation receipt, in paper form or on devices, must be shown to the personnel in charge of the control.

During the Festival, from 18 to 20 pm every day, four exhibitions will also be open to visitors: “Il tempo dell'attesa” by Lia Pasqualino, “Sinaesthet X” by Vincenzo Fiorillo and Paolo Iammarrone, “Malura” by Simona Fredella and “Le Forme dell'anima” by Marina Turco.
Finally, we would like to point out some interesting collateral activities such as the “Yogacanto” workshop, curated by Roberta Rossi, and the walks with Antonio Malatesta and Dionisia De Santis.
