MP Antonio Caso and the M5S Pozzuoli they wrote to the Mayor of Pozzuoli to ask for urgent intervention against those beach resort managers who carry out checks at the entrance, to prohibit the introduction of food and drinks or even a ban on "large" sized cooler bags.
An absurd practice that, in recent days, has found echo in the local press thanks to the complaint of some citizens of Pozzuoli, who allegedly saw their coolers checked at the entrance to a beach on the Phlegraean coast.
The deputy therefore asked the Mayor to take a clear and unequivocal position once and for all against a “bad habit” that recurs every year, by adopting specific measures (warnings, ordinances, etc.) that expressly prohibit beach managers from carrying out such practices.
“Such action – we read in the email sent to the Mayor – in addition to protecting the rights of citizens, would be an important signal to reiterate to the concessionaires not to go beyond their role which is, we remind you, of temporary managers of a state-owned property”.
