New blow to Camorra fugitives by the Carabinieri of the investigative unit of Castello di Cisterna.

The fugitive is 47-year-old Luigi Carandente Tartaglia. The man is considered a leading member of the Orlando – Polverino – Nuvoletta clan, operating in Marano of Naples and surrounding areas and contact person for the municipality of Quarto.
The Carabinieri of Castello di Cisterna – coordinated by the DDA Partenopea – have been on his trail since March 2022, the day on which an arrest warrant was issued against him for a total sentence of 14 years and 3 months of imprisonment for mafia association. The searches had led to a hilly area between Marano and Quarto.

A villa surrounded by greenery with several trapdoors that allowed you to hide when necessary but also a sauna for moments of relaxation.
However, the man had not been found and the last attempt to capture him dates back to August 5th when, during a chase, Carandente Tartaglia fled after having rammed and injured a crew of Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit who, riding a scooter of the Arma, had spotted him and had attempted to stop him.

The investigations to find him, however, never ceased and the Carabinieri were aware of the fugitive's habits, including his medical needs.
The man, in fact, had heart problems and the military had been monitoring the computer archives of the national health system for some time. The "alert" a few days ago when a heart operation emerged at the Pineta Grande hospital in Castelvolturno.
The Carabinieri entered the hospital and found the fugitive on the bed after the operation.
The 47-year-old had been admitted to hospital by providing a false name and document. His health situation is constantly monitored. The arrested man, in fact, is under guard in the hospital.
