After Cyclone Poppea, which brought rain and thunderstorms to Italy, the African anticyclone Bacco will once again make its presence felt in our country.
The first weekend of September, between Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd, the atmosphere will stabilize and temperatures will begin to rise. In the Center-South, temperatures could already reach 30-32°C, while in the North, temperatures will be slightly lower.
Next week, the Bacco anticyclone will become even more powerful and temperatures will rise further, reaching peaks of 35-37°C in Rome and Florence, up to 33-34°C in the North and even peaks of 40-42°C on the Major Islands.
It is no coincidence that the month of September is starting with African heat. In recent years, due to climate change, this month has increasingly had summery characteristics rather than autumnal ones. This year will be the same.
Here's a summary of the weather forecast for this weekend:
Friday 1 September: some rain in the North, good weather in the Center-South.
Saturday 2 September: sunny and warm in the North, sunny and very warm in the Centre-South.
Sunday 3 September: sunny and warm, temperatures rising further.
