A seized bridge was breached by an ambulance attempting to rescue an elderly woman. This situation is causing hardship for the elderly in the area, some of whom are on dialysis or chemotherapy, and are forced to travel long distances to reach their homes. Benevento.

The mayor of the municipality of Pantanella, Raffaele Scarinzi, launches an appeal for the infrastructure to finally be made usable. He complains about the bureaucratic delays that are putting the lives of citizens at risk.

Remember how, following a flood on January 20, the municipality had created an alternative route with an unfinished bridge built in 1999. While the work was being completed, all the technical steps necessary for its regularity were taken.

The alternative route would have been available on February 10, but was blocked due to bureaucratic complications that also involved law enforcement and the judiciary.

The mayor emphasizes that, once all the authorizations requested from the Civil Engineering Department had been obtained, it was communicated that the Land Reclamation Consortiums were responsible for issuing the hydraulic authorization. However, the Sannio Alifano Land Reclamation Consortium declared that it was not competent in this matter.

Mayor Scarinzi says he is saddened by the situation and emphasizes that it is necessary to resolve this situation as soon as possible, which is penalizing the weakest citizens.
