“This way we’re not going anywhere anymore.” This is the outburst of the president of Federalberghi Isola di Capri, Lorenzo Coppola.

An island that hosts not only residents but also numerous tourists and workers finds itself continuously without connection and without electricity.

The recurring blackouts are in fact contrasted by the lack of interest of supply and distribution companies with outdated and insufficient electrical cabins, dangling cables, whether they are for electricity or telephone distribution services: these are clear signs of poor maintenance and lack of attention".
“For years, the numerous damages to our image that we have had to suffer have been denounced in a not very incisive manner, today in 2023 – Coppola underlines – it is absolutely necessary to improve the quality of services, which among other things are paid handsomely every day.
It is a priority issue to give dignity to the many activities and inhabitants of our territory. We will be a showcase in the G7 of Foreign Ministries, today we are a sad, dull showcase.
But can you imagine a power blackout and therefore communications in the middle of the G7? A luxury destination – concludes the president – must guarantee top-notch services in everyday life and not just on special occasions”.
