Weather alert of the Civil protection regional of Campania in yellow color for temporal valid from 20pm today, Friday 4 August, to 20pm tomorrow, Saturday 5 August, throughout Campania.
Sudden showers and thunderstorms will be possible, characterized by rapid evolution and particular strength. The phenomena may be accompanied by hail and lightning. Locally strong winds from the western quadrants with gusts and rough seas are also expected.
This weather picture is associated with a hydrogeological risk for storms throughout the territory. In fact, consequences on the ground are possible such as flooding, rising water levels of watercourses, surface runoff with possible phenomena of material transport, water flow on roadways, landslides and falling rocks.
Damage to roofs and temporary structures may also occur due to lightning, hailstorms and gusts of wind. Attention must also be paid to public greenery, to ensure its proper maintenance. Maximum attention is recommended, even with regard to bathing facilities.
Civil Protection reminds Municipalities “the necessary activation of the Municipal Operations Centres and of the measures aimed at preventing, contrasting and mitigating the expected phenomena”, in line with the respective municipal civil protection plans.
