The construction site for the extraordinary maintenance works of the PalaPiccolo, the Sports Hall on Viale Medaglie d'Oro, has been officially set up. Caserta.
Following the delivery of the works last week, as stated in a note from the Province of Caserta, the first checks were immediately started on the systems and the structure which, once redeveloped, will allow the approval for the higher categories of Women's Series A and Men's Series A/2 basketball.
During the inspection with the technicians and the company in charge, the director of Agis (Agency for the management of sports facilities) and provincial manager, engineer Gerardo Palmieri, confirmed that the work will be completed in one hundred and twenty days.
The final project for the renovation of the facility, for which the Province of Caserta obtained funding of approximately one and a half million euros (1.479.762 euros) from the Campania Region, came first in the ranking of Line 2 of the 'Expression of interest for interventions to adapt facilities hosting competitive activities to current safety standards and the minimum requirements set by the regulations of the sports federation to which they belong', announced by Arus, the Regional Universiade Agency for Sport.
Numerous improvements are planned from the point of view of safety and usability: the remaking of the roofing and the ventilation system, with the creation of a ventilation system for the exchange of air to integrate the insufficient openings currently present.
The construction of a 99,45 kW photovoltaic system equipped with a 50 kWh energy storage system; the adaptation of the lighting system with energy efficiency; the improvement of the accessibility of the sports hall with the provision of three entrances to be used as entrance and exit for 'Guests - Locals - Disabled'.
The replacement of the metal balustrades with transparent PVC dividing parapets and the installation of soft anti-trauma sports protection coverings to improve the safety of athletes during activities are also planned. Finally, the project includes the complete remaking of the playing field.

A fundamental work that we could no longer postpone, the sacrifices of the team and the Bianconeri fans will be amply repaid in a few months”.
