Italian music is a true time machine, capable of traveling through the memories and emotions of listeners of all ages.
The area of the former Nato base in Bagnoli, on September 23, 2023, at 21:00 pm, will become the stage for a parade of stars, whose successes range from the sixties to the early XNUMXs. The artists are united by being authors, as well as performers.
The cast of Concerto d'Autore:
Don Backy, a true legend. His career began in 1960, both as a singer and as a lyricist. The spearhead of Adriano Celentano's Clan (for whom he wrote the lyrics of Pregherò and Canzone), Don signed and performed the unforgettable song L'immensità (1967), which he took to Sanremo with Johnny Dorelli. Other hits: Amico, L'amore, Poesia, Sogno, Un sorriso, Bianchi cristalli sereni, Sognando and many others.
Mariella Nava, extraordinary author and performer, with eight appearances at the Sanremo Festival to her credit. A writer for countless artists, including Renato Zero (Spalle al muro), Andrea Bocelli (Per amore) and Eduardo De Crescenzo (Come mi vuoi), Mariella has further established herself as a voice, singing songs such as Così è la vita (1999), Mendicante and Terra mia.
Gianfranco Caliendo was the iconic frontman, lead singer, guitarist and author of Il Giardino dei Semplici until 2012, later a solo artist. His main hits: M'innamorai; Tu, ca nun chiagne; Vai; Miele (Sanremo 1977); Concerto in A Minore (Festivalbar); …E amiamoci. Gianfranco is also the author of the international hit Turuturu, originally presented at the Sanremo Festival 2001 by his daughter Giada Caliendo, who will propose the worldwide hit (recently covered by Coldplay) right on the stage of the former NATO base.
The popular artist Michele Pecora rose to prominence thanks to the hit Era lei, an evergreen from 1979. Later, he confirmed himself as a prominent singer-songwriter with the songs Te ne vai and Me ne andrò, participating in the Festivalbar. He arrived in Sanremo in 1995, as an author and conductor for Lighea. His career also continued on TV, until 2019, where he conquered the television program Ora o mai più and launched the unreleased song I poeti.
Mimmo Cavallo, a sharp and cutting singer-songwriter, began his career in 1980 with the song Siamo meridionali (Tenco Award) and, later, presented the hit Uh, mammà! at the Festivalbar. He wrote for many big names, including: Loredana Bertè, Mia Martini (with whom he established an important artistic partnership), Ornella Vanoni and Zucchero. He continued to propose his artistic discourse with great resonance and, in 1992, won the Rino Gaetano Award.
The event is curated by Officine della Musica, Teatro Palapartenope and NSE (Non Solo Eventi), with the collaboration of Radio Amore.
The former NATO base is located in Parco San Laise, Viale della Liberazione 117. Ticket information: 081/19363303, or Boxol.it – Ticketone.it.
