Local police officers Naples – GIT Operational Unit (Traffic Intervention Group) and the Fuorigrotta Operational Unit – in plain clothes, carried out checks at the access point to the'pedestrian area of Nisida.
Operation to counter the phenomenon of access to the area by unauthorized vehicles whose drivers circulate by covering their license plates to avoid automatic detection of the violation by the cameras present in the area.
They have been three people that the Local Police has reported for this behavior and another 5 administratively fined for accessing the pedestrian area. Other Local Police personnel were engaged to ensure safety and compliance with the rules in nightlife areas.
Checks also at Vomero and Largo Sermoneta
In piazza Vanvitelli and in via Aniello Falcone (Vomero) the personnel employed issued 25 fines for violation of the Highway Code and seized a vehicle. Also in the Vomero area, 9 commercial activities were checked, 4 of which were fined: 2 because they occupied public land in excess of the authorized amount, 1 for violation of the rules on separate waste collection and 1 because it displayed an unauthorized advertising billboard.
A Largo Sermoneta as part of the joint checks with the State Police, 12 vehicles were checked, three of which were reported by the Local Police personnel for violation of the Highway Code rules.
The men of the Operational Unit Scampithey caught an illegal parking attendant in the area surrounding the weekly market Chiaiano in via vecchia Napoli, near the Chiaiano metro station: in addition to the verbal report in accordance with the Highway Code, the man had the money from his illegal activity confiscated and, being a repeat offender, he was reported and sent away.
