The "L'Aquila-Naples" project continues, the first artistic-musical twinning between two Italian regions, Abruzzo and Campania.
After “Vieni a Napoli con me” now comes out “Dove atterrerai”, the second single in memory of little Alessia Prendi, the child who died in 2022 due to the collapse of a swing in Avezzano (AQ).
"While "Vieni a Napoli con me" marked the beginning of this musical series, "Dove Atterrerai" is its second season. This time, the focus is not merely on the city of L'Aquila, but rather focuses on a tragic event that struck the heart of the entire Abruzzese community", explains Matteo Farge, the mind behind the project.
The song becomes a vehicle through which homage is paid to the memory of Alessia and to all the people who flew away too soon.
«The composition is an attempt to connect life and death, two areas that are still very distant today».
The social aspect of the project demonstrates that culture and art can still be used for noble purposes and not just for mere entertainment.
The cover of the single, created by Farge himself, is conceived with symbolism, and represents an “interdimensional postage stamp”, to be ideally placed on the song.
"The project "L'Aquila-Napoli" therefore goes decidedly beyond music and conventional geography. A link between the two regions, between two existential conditions as well as a tribute to lives that have faded. The memory of this little girl will continue to shine in the hearts of all those who will be able to stop for a moment to give themselves the chance to question themselves and think that perhaps after this life, we can blossom again, in another form or simply on another frequency not perceptible with our five senses".
The cultural project was sponsored by the Abruzzo Region and the Campania Region, and is produced and distributed by the independent label ANIMAdischi by Gianluca Occhiuzzi.
