With a press release, the Ministry of Culture informs that museums, archaeological parks and places of culture will remain open on 14 and 15 August 2023, thus promoting visits and knowledge of places and assets of the Italian cultural heritage.
Visits can be made during the usual opening hours and according to the costs and methods of use usually adopted by the individual facilities, such as reservations.
To promote the success of this initiative, state museums, archaeological parks and cultural sites such as villas, gardens, monumental complexes, castles and abbeys will postpone any closures scheduled for Monday or Tuesday to another day.
The Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano expressed satisfaction for this initiative, underlining how this is "an extraordinary opportunity to offer citizens and tourists the chance to discover the national cultural heritage also in holiday destinations and cities of art".
