FOJA, continues the tour with 9 more live dates

After two sold out shows, the first in June at the Arena Flegrea and the second in August at Piazza Plebiscito in Naples, the band led by Dario Sansone returns to play live.
Foja return to the stage with their folk rock energy for 9 unmissable dates.

A few weeks after their last concert in their city, Foja, after the first six live shows, continue to perform live for another nine dates that will see Dario Sansone and his associates perform in all the provinces of Campania and a special concert in Rome.

After the release of the album “Miracoli e Rivoluzioni” Foja never stopped and accumulated dozens and dozens of concerts up and down the country with the main epicenter Naples that once again saw them protagonists of memorable shows, not least the one recently held in the iconic Piazza Plebiscito in Naples for the “Restate a Napoli” review – directed by Lello Arena – who strongly wanted the group in his important program. A success with ten thousand presences that once again confirmed the artistic importance of the band loved by its fans and esteemed by great artists of the Neapolitan theater such as Isa Danieli present with them on the prestigious stage.

The second part of the summer tour, which started again in the last few days with the first two live shows in Irpinia and Cilento, will continue from August 27th to end at the beginning of October, thus completing two years of work that for Foja have been full of emotions and commitments, starting from the release of the fourth album that has received excellent acclaim from the public and critics.

Foja are undoubtedly among the main exponents of the new sound of the Neapolitan folk tradition, established in Italy and abroad and in addition to producing four studio albums, they have participated in several soundtracks of animated feature films. They have been nominated for the David di Donatello and the Nastri d'Argento for best original song, and have collaborated with international artists such as Pauline Croze, La Pegatina, Shaun Ferguson, Weslie, Black Noyze, Alejandro Romero and national artists such as Isa Danieli, Francesco Di Bella, Lorenzo Hengeller, Clementino, Davide Toffolo, Enzo Gragnaniello.

Foja were born in 2006. They have four studio albums under their belt, 'Na Storia Nova, Dimane Torna 'O Sole, 'O Treno Che Va and Miracoli e Rivoluzioni. With their second and third albums they were placed in the final five of the Targhe Tenco in the category of best album in dialect. Touring Italy for years, they have performed on prestigious stages, always selling out, including those of the Teatro di San Carlo with a show directed by Franco Dragone (Cirque du Soleil), the Arena Flegrea with a special show that combined music and live illustrations, the Courtyard of the Reggia di Capodimonte, the Royal Palace and Castel Sant'Elmo in Naples in front of an audience of over six thousand people. Their music has been successfully used in several films such as The Art of Happiness (EFA European Film Award) and Gatta Cenerentola, obtaining the nomination for the best original song both at the David di Donatello with the songs “'A malia” and “A chi appartieni”, and at the Nastri d'Argento with “'A malia”. Since 2018 they have started recording collaborations with international artists (Pauline Croze, La Pegatina, Shaun Ferguson, Weslie, Black Noyze, Alejandro Romero). In November 2018 they sold out the dates of their European Tour in the best clubs of the main capitals and, in 2019, they flew overseas for their Canadian and US Tour between clubs and large theaters. In 2020 they closed their first decade of recording activity with the special box set “Dieci” which collects their entire production, including several non-album songs and an unreleased track.

In 2021, two new singles were released simultaneously, “ADDÒ SE VA” and “TU”, the first signs of the new recording project. In June, 'A Mano 'e D10S” was released, a Neapolitan version of “(INRI) La mano de Dios”, a song written by Alejandro Romero and dedicated to a timeless champion, Diego Armando Maradona. The video clip for the song was also released, directed by Michel Liguori and produced by Anartica Film, partly shot inside the Ex San Paolo stadium now the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. At the end of October, “Duje comme Nuje” was released, a single and video featured in the soundtrack of “Yaya e Lennie – The Walking Liberty”, a new animated film by Mad Entertainment directed by Alessandro Rak and of which Dario Sansone, leader of Foja, is also assistant director, artistic director and author of the music together with Alessandro Rak and Enzo Foniciello. On April 8, 2022, the new album entitled “Miracoli e Rivoluzioni” was released.
