The summer of the receipts crazy continues, hand in hand with the torrid heat that is about to step aside (at least that). The social controversy - for some it has become an excellent excuse for publicity - returns to Sardinia, already a protagonist on several occasions. "Reporting" an exaggeratedly expensive bill are Giuseppe Russo and his partner Federica Franco. He is an influencer, creator of the page "My trip to Naples". The two sat down in a bar in Porto Cervo and ordered a coffee and an orzata. "I expected a high price, but not this high...", he said.
The couple stopped at a well-known bar in Porto Cervo. The experience, told in full in a video, didn't end exactly as hoped. "We chose a random bar in the center. On the menu, a cup of ice cream cost 30 euros, water between 15 and 20 euros. We wanted to leave, but we wanted to order at least a coffee and an orzata," says Giuseppe Russo.
"They brought us, as if it were an aperitif, tomatoes, carrots, pizzas, olives, peanuts and sandwiches and biscuits. It was all delicious, except the coffee. When we saw the receipt we were shocked: 50 euros total for the coffee (30 euros) and the orgeat (20 euros). We knew it was a very expensive city but not like this," he added.
