A somewhat unusual awakening for nature in the Royal Park and English Garden of the Royal Palace of Caserta at dawn this morning.
And for Caserta families and tourists who participated in the initiative “Dawn at the Royal Palace of Caserta”, parading among holm oaks and camphor trees, and observing the hedgehogs and owls, nocturnal sentinels of the Green Museum.
Almost a thousand people attended an event that many declared magnificent and worth repeating. The coolness of the morning, the unusual perceptive experience, in addition to the beauty of the Vanvitellian Complex, and the performances of the Progetto Sonora at Castelluccia and in the English Garden, with evocative stories interspersed with 18th century music, attracted many, also encouraging aware tourists to stay in the Caserta area during the weekend.
The initiative “Beyond the Royal Palace” was also a great success with the public, with over 250 registrations, to learn about, starting from the welcome of the hospitable hosts of the splendid and well-kept garden of Palazzo Cocozza di Montanara, the ancient road that connected Casertavecchia with the village of Torre, the history of the territory of the province of Caserta and discover how the water of the Carolino Aqueduct, from the sources of Fizzo, feeds the fountains of the Royal Park.
Great enthusiasm from visitors as well as from the staff of the Reggia and private individuals, who collaborated with passion and commitment for the perfect success of the initiatives on this hot day at the end of August.
