The control activities of the Carabinieri of the Forestry Station continue marcianise, in the province of Caserta, aimed mainly at protecting the health of citizens and verifying the regularity in the sale of food products.
This time, the focus was on a dairy in the nearby town of Gricignano di Aversa, where the military, following specific checks, found that the processing sheets for stretched curd cheese and ricotta were missing, thus proceeding to the administrative seizure of 80 kg of untraceable cheese and imposing a fine of 1.500,00 euros.
Further checks also extended to the packaging intended to contain the cheeses on sale, led to the discovery that the wrappers bear wording and logos that improperly recall the protected denomination “mozzarella di buffalo campana dop” without any reference title. Therefore, the military of the Arma proceeded to seize over 500 bags and to raise, against the owner of the dairy, a further fine of 4000,00 euros.
At the same time, the intervention of ASL personnel was requested to take samples in order to verify the quality of the products and compliance with the instructions provided.
