The best of contemporary Neapolitan songwriting in Albanella

Arrivato alla sua diciassettesima edizione, con il patrocinio del Comune di , in partenariato con l’emittente SudTv e l’associazione Musica Contro le Mafie, il premio Botteghe d’Autore, diretto da Ivan Rufo, si pone l’obiettivo di promuovere e valorizzare la canzone d’autore, dando spazio ad artisti emergenti o poco noti al grande pubblico.

Sul palco, nell’avvolgente piazza Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto di Albanella (SA), dalle ore 21:00 si contenderanno il premio undici artisti: Candeo da Milano, carlomanzo da Montecorvino Pugliano (SA), Edoardo Chiesa da Varazze (SV), Fra’ Sorrentino da Marino (RM), Francesco Lettieri da , Helle da Bologna, Lorenzo Lepore da Roma, LUK da Napoli, Miriam Ricordi da Pescara, Olivia XX da Civita Castellana (VT) e VIMINI da Roma.

“It was also difficult to select the finalists this year” – declares the artistic director – "from which the winner will emerge who will be a guest at the next edition of Music for Change organized by Musica contro le Mafie. Furthermore, as has been the case for several years now, one of the finalists will receive recognition in services from the ethical label Isola Tobia Label".

Let's just remember some names from previous editions that have been noticed by the public and critics: Avincola (Sanremo 2021), Gabriella Martinelli (Sanremo 2020), Mirkoeilcane (Sanremo 2018 and Targa Tenco Best Song of the Year 2018), Claudia Crabuzza (Targa Tenco Best Album in Dialect 2019), Francesca Incudine (Targa Tenco Best Album in Dialect 2018).

Closing the event will be some of the most interesting artists on the Neapolitan music scene: Francesco Di Bella, singer, author and leader of 24 Grana; Gnut, born in '81, singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and composer of soundtracks; Dario Sansone, voice of Foja, singer-songwriter and film director; Giovanni Block, already winner of Musicultura, has always worked between music and theater.

A BIT OF HISTORY
Over the years, artists of the caliber of Giorgio Canali, Sollo&Gnut, Peppe Barra, James Senese & Napoli Centrale, Peppe Servillo & Solis String Quartet, Raiz and Fausto Mesolella, Rocco Papaleo Quartet, Francesco Baccini, Alberto Fortis, Enzo Gragnaniello, Pietra Montecorvino, Almamegretta, Sud Sound System, Avincola, Zibba, Erica Mou, Max Manfredi, Peppe Voltarelli, Mirco Menna and many others have graced the stage of Botteghe d'Autore.

Among the winners of the overall prize, we remember Zarat (2022), Sara Marini (2021), Romito (2020), Roberto Michelangelo Giordi and Levia (ex-aequo 2019), Massimo Francescon Band (2017), Francesca Incudine (2016), Helena Hellwig and Punto e Virgola (ex-aequo 2015), Piergiorgio Faraglia (2014), Carlo Mercadante (2013), Emilio Stella (2012), Emanuele Bocci (2011), Avincola (2010), Erica Boschiero (2009), Joe Petrosino & Rockammorra (2008), Piji (2007) and Spirito Nascosto (2006).
