An accident that almost turned into a tragedy and then turned into threats occurred at lunchtime on Wednesday 30 August in via Mascagni in Vomero.
A car traveling at high speed crashed into the window of a real estate agency and ended up inside. In short, a tragedy narrowly avoided.
The owner of the agency, who spoke to the Green-Left Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, recounted the incident:
“A woman first crashed into our office at high speed and then once inside, despite the front wheels still spinning forward, she put the car into reverse at a crazy speed, hitting a parked van head-on. On top of that, the woman’s partner also threatened to kill me.”
“They run like crazy, they mistake public roads for racetracks, they risk killing themselves and others and then they even pretend to be right and to achieve this they resort to violence.” - declares Borrelli with the municipal councilors of Sole che Ride Rino Nasti and Luca Bonetti –
“These people must stop feeling like they own the roads and harm others, the institutions must intervene with determination. We need reforms to the highway code, certain penalties and more anti-speed devices.”
