From August 31st to September 6th, art, culture and music with DiVoceinDonna in six municipalities of Irpinia.
The fourth edition of Irpinia Terra di Mezzo – Cultura Ri-sorgente is starting from August 31st to September 6th, the event that will touch six Irpinia municipalities in a combination of art, music, culture and tradition. Conceived by the artistic director Fiorenza Calogero, this week it will take shape as a real itinerant cultural village, which will cross stories and memories of women, from Italy, to Tunisia, to Iran: talented, eclectic, committed artists will act as guides in this immersive journey through exhibitions, concerts and shows capable of giving value to an Irpinia rich in intangible heritage, which also knows how to express itself in its openness to the world.
And in fact the theme of the fourth edition is “DiVoceinDonna”, declined in the feminine with a narration that includes the use of musical, artistic, culinary, artisanal and photographic language. We will move in time, from the past to the present, to know the evolution and growth of the path of female emancipation, understand its dynamics, obstacles, goals achieved, but continuing to look to a future that still requires the commitment of the whole society to affirm freedom and rights.
Irpinia Terra di Mezzo is a project created together with the Municipalities of Santo Stefano del Sole, Santa Lucia di Serino, Cesinali, Pietradefusi Dentecane, Sorbo Serpico and Salza Irpina.
“An invitation to listen, through stories that will allow us to delve deeper into the process that led women to emancipate themselves, to declare themselves autonomous and independent, to free themselves in a world that would have wanted them immobile and silent”: declares the artistic director Fiorenza Calogero. Who continues: “They will be stories that draw and draw strength from the rituals and teachings of the past, in which oral transmission ensures that “from voice to woman”, that is, through the voices of women, there is an evolution that lives, pulsates and grows also thanks to the protection of tradition”.
