This morning, the Local Maritime Office of Mondragone, together with the Local Police command, "proceeded with a blitz to remove beach equipment (umbrellas, sunbeds and deckchairs) of various kinds, left unattended and positioned illegally on the stretch of free beach of the Mondragone Municipality seafront, where the phenomenon had already assumed considerable proportions".
This is what we read in a note from the Coast Guard which specifies that "about fifty pieces of beach equipment of various kinds, including chairs, umbrellas and deck chairs, were removed and placed under seizure.
The intervention has allowed the return to the community of approximately 2000 square meters of free beach illegally occupied, eradicating the illicit conduct of still unknown individuals, who prevented the free use of the public maritime property by tourists and bathers". Today's blitz is part of the broader operation "Mare Sicuro".
