In the summer of controversy over receipts and increased prices by food and beverage entrepreneurs, there are still those who continue to cheat with receipts despite the high prices they charge customers.
And so yesterday during the checks among the nightlife venues of Naples, 10 receipt cheats fell into the clutches of the police. It happened in the areas naturally most frequented especially by young people, such as Chiaia and Coroglio, who unfortunately care little about the receipt.
Yesterday, as part of the services provided by the Police Headquarters Napoli in the “movida” areas, the officers of the San Ferdinando, Vomero and Bagnoli Police Stations, the finance police of the Provincial Command of Naples, with the collaboration of the Campania Crime Prevention Unit, the Mobile Unit and the Anti-Drug Canine Units of the General Prevention Office, carried out checks in the areas of Chiaia, Vomero and Bagnoli.
During the service, the operators in Chiaia identified 54 people, of which 6 with police records, and checked 4 vehicles; Furthermore, 3 commercial businesses were inspected, resulting in 3 administrative fines for failure to issue a receipt.
Finally, a person was administratively sanctioned for possession of a narcotic substance for personal use.
Again, the officers of the Vomero Police Station in San Martino, in the squares Vanvitelli, Medaglie D'Oro and in the streets Giordano, Scarlatti and Falcone identified 17 people, one of whom had a police record; in addition, 10 violations of the Highway Code for illegal parking were contested.
In the Coroglio area, the officers of the Bagnoli Police Station identified 106 people, 24 of whom had a criminal record, checked 15 vehicles, one of which was seized, and charged two violations of the Highway Code for failure to have periodic inspections.
Finally, 6 commercial establishments were checked, issuing 7 administrative sanctions for failure to issue a receipt and 2 for failure to display licenses and the price list of products intended for sale as well as the opening and closing hours.
