Naples, two Moroccans arrested in Piazza Garibaldi with 5 kilograms of hashish

Last morning, the Falcons of the Flying Squad of Naples following a note received by the local Operations Room, they intervened at a building in Piazza Garibaldi following a report of two men hiding drugs.

The officers took up position and shortly after, they noticed the two heading into the building.

The police officers, who promptly intervened, reached them but one of them, at the sight of them, ran away to elude the control until, having reached Piazza De Nicola, with no small difficulty and after a fight he was stopped and found in possession of 5 blocks of hashish of approximately 500 grams and a package of approximately 3 grams of the same substance.

Furthermore, the officers carried out a check in the home of the suspects where, in a backpack hidden under the bed, they found 45 blocks of hashish with a total weight of approximately 5 kg.

Therefore, the two, a 25-year-old with a criminal record and a 23-year-old, both of Moroccan origin, were arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking; the 25-year-old was also arrested for assault and resisting a public official.
