New demonstration in Naples against the abolition of the citizen's income. After having gathered in Piazza Garibaldi, the demonstrators started a procession blocking traffic on Corso Garibaldi in both directions.
There are about 350 demonstrators in a procession in Naples protesting against the abolition of the citizen's income. First they marched from the station along Corso Garibaldi, now they are on Via Amerigo Vespucci and continue to block traffic in the direction of the exit from the city.
The protesters are followed by a large deployment of police forces. The situation is calm at the moment, no tensions are reported.
The demonstration is organized by the Network of Committees for the defense and extension of the Citizenship Income. Similar demonstrations also in Palermo and Cosenza. Also joining the event is the Communist Refoundation Party, already involved in the Campania Committee for the Regional Integrative Measure.
