His name is Salvatore Ferraiolo, the alleged murderer of Anna Scala, the 56-year-old woman found dead in the trunk of a car today in Piano di Sorrento.
He was in a remote area of the city, near where he had hidden the scooter he had used to leave the scene of the murder. The military are now taking him to the barracks in Sorrento. The man, who is a fishmonger by profession, had been living with the victim for 15 years. He has a 20-year-old son from a previous marriage. The son also does the same job as his father in Piano di Sorrento.
Anna Scala, who was a beautician, had decided a few months ago to end the relationship with the man after having suffered his violence and bullying for years.
She had also reported him for stalking. And perhaps the complaint received from his ex and the fact of having to face a trial must have triggered Salvatore Ferraiolo's murderous fury. This morning around midday, the man, knowing the woman's habits, and perhaps after having stalked her, showed up at the apartment building where she lived, in the public housing blocks on via San Massimo in the Trinità hamlet in the Colli a Piano di Sorrento.
It was a moment and his murderous fury was unleashed on his ex who was surprised from behind. Numerous stabs in various parts of the body while the woman with the hood of the car open was preparing to take the shopping bags.
Anna Scala fell lifeless, or perhaps was pushed by the killer, into the trunk while he ran away, also chased by a neighbor who had heard her screams and had rushed over. The carabinieri along the way first found the hat she was wearing and then the blade used to commit the barbaric femicide.

The law that is in force is absurd...it is incomplete and inconclusive.
The person reporting must be made safe.
It is not possible to abandon her to herself.
