Blitz by the Coast Guard and the State Police on the Lungomare Pertini in Pozzuoli.

This early morning, personnel from the Pozzuoli Maritime District Office, together with the Pozzuoli State Police Station, carried out numerous checks along the stretch of beach of Lungomare Pertini in the Municipality of Pozzuoli.

In the context of the above-mentioned activities, two different management entities were identified which, although operating under an agreement with the Municipal Administration for the management of beach services, did not provide the expected lifeguard service, illegally occupying the beach with beach equipment (sunbeds and umbrellas) from the first light of dawn.

The investigation and the dispute occurred because such equipment could only be made available following a request from the user.

Together with these investigations, the illegal and abusive occupation, by the holders of the two different agreements, of the premises made available by the Municipality of Pozzuoli for the benefit of bathers as a changing room was verified.

The artefacts, illegally removed from public use, were used as a storage place for beach equipment, refrigerators and various goods of dubious origin.

At the end of the activities, approximately 150 sunbeds and 50 umbrellas were seized, with the imposition of fines for a total of 4.128 euros, with the simultaneous criminal seizure of 4 premises adjacent to the beach and the consequent restitution of approximately 5000 square meters of beach to the community.
