Checks are underway from Bari to Carovigno to locate 12-year-old Gabriela Emanuela, a Romanian girl living in the town near Brindisi who hasn't been seen since Thursday morning.
The teenager disappeared at 10.30:450 in the morning, from outside a business on Viale Unità d'Italia, in the center of Bari - just XNUMX meters from the central station -, where her mother had stopped to run some errands.
The woman allegedly entered a photographer's shop, at number 34, to take passport photos, but when she came out she couldn't find her daughter. From that moment on, the girl's tracks were completely lost. Up until that point, mother and daughter had been traveling by taxi, not knowing the city well.
Comrades and teachers, 'we are waiting for you'
“Gabriela, we are all waiting for you. Your classmates and your teachers.” This is what we read on the Facebook page of the Carovigno comprehensive institute attended by Gabriela Emanuela, the 12-year-old of Romanian origin who disappeared in Bari last Thursday. The girl, who lives in Carovigno with her family, will attend the third year of middle school in September.
The social message is accompanied by a photo of her petting a puppy. Around the image is an appeal to contact the police or the Carabinieri or a cell phone number to report any reports and sightings.
The searches continue both in Bari and Carovigno while the Bari Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation still without a precise hypothesis of crime. It is not excluded that they could proceed for child abduction.
